Our story

2001 - 2011

Sheridan Maine was launched as a specialist accountancy and finance recruitment consultancy operating within the qualified accountancy and senior finance market.

Due to client demand, Sheridan Maine began to support part qualified and transactional accounting roles in addition to qualified and senior finance.
2012-2018

A period of expansion for Sheridan Maine as we launched Bristol and London offices. We also launched our Public Practice Division.

Sheridan Maine Midlands was established to support recruitment across the Midlands and the North.
2019

Sheridan Maine Recruitment (Basingstoke, Bournemouth, Bristol & Southampton) and Sheridan Maine South East (London) merged together, bringing a stronger and more cohesive management team with a wealth of expertise together under one banner.
2020

Sheridan Maine’s “Share the Sunshine” competition literally grows nationally and internationally as 100’s join in the unofficial sunflower growing competition during lockdown.
2022

Sheridan Maine sees an increase in more nationwide opportunities and clients with overseas staffing requirements; with placements across Australia, Europe & the USA.
2023

Sheridan Maine launches Sheridan Maine Executive – to service increasing requirements for senior post qualified and director level accounting roles.
2025

Sheridan Maine goes live in the USA and expands its specialist practice arm in the UK.
