Sheridan Maine is looking for an Accounts and Audit Semi Senior to join an established and growing accountancy practice in Kent. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified individual looking to progress their career in both accounts preparation and audit work.

You will support a varied portfolio of clients across different sectors, gaining hands-on experience while continuing to study towards a professional qualification.

Key responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts for a range of clients.
  • Support audit assignments, including fieldwork and testing.
  • Liaise with clients to gather necessary information and resolve queries.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date working papers.
  • Ensure assignments are completed in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Work closely with managers and seniors to meet deadlines.
  • Progress towards completing ACA or ACCA qualifications.

What we’re looking for:
  • Part-qualified ACA or ACCA with previous practice experience.
  • Experience assisting on audit assignments and preparing accounts.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take on responsibility.
  • Good communication and team-working abilities.
  • A proactive and client-focused approach.
