Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a high-profile organisation based in Central London to recruit an Accounts Payable & Expenses Assistant. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the Accounts Payable and Expenses team by ensuring the seamless processing of supplier invoices. Your expertise will help maintain the smooth operation of daily financial tasks, guaranteeing that invoices are managed efficiently and that supplier inquiries are addressed quickly and professionally.
 
Your responsibilities as the Accounts Payable & Expenses Assistant will include:
  • Register and process incoming invoices.
  • Prepare and process international payment runs.
  • Support purchase order administration and ensure accurate PO-to-invoice matching.
  • Act as a point of contact for supplier and contractor queries.
  • Perform regular supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Process and verify expense claims.
  • Generate and distribute regular financial and operational reports.
  • Assist in the preparation and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Coordinate the setup of new supplier accounts.
  • Support the reconciliation of corporate credit card statements for managerial sign-off.
  • Collate and prepare monthly expense summaries and ad-hoc reports as needed.
  • Provide system training and expense process guidance to employees across the business.
  • Provide backup and operational support to the AP and Expenses Supervisor as required.
 
To be considered for the role of Accounts Payable & Expenses Assistant:
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
