Sheridan Maine is advertising on behalf of a respected independent accountancy and advisory firm to recruit an experienced Tax Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive tax professional to join a growing team, delivering expert compliance, advisory, and planning support across a diverse client portfolio.

This hybrid role provides flexibility to work both remotely and in-office while offering exposure to a wide range of corporate, personal, and international tax matters.

Key responsibilities of the Tax Advisor include:
  • Providing comprehensive tax advice to corporate and personal clients.
  • Preparing and reviewing tax computations, returns, and filings.
  • Advising on tax planning, structuring, and compliance strategies.
  • Keeping clients and internal teams updated on changes in tax legislation and regulations.
  • Assisting with HMRC queries, investigations, and audits.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to deliver integrated advisory solutions.
  • Identifying opportunities to add value to clients through proactive advice.
The successful Tax Advisor will have:
  • ACA, ACCA, or CTA (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Strong experience in corporate, personal, and/or international tax.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK tax legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in tax compliance, planning, and advisory services.
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident communication and strong client relationship skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements.
