Key responsibilities of the FP&A Analyst include: Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and reports.
- Build, maintain, and update detailed financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends, providing actionable insights.
- Assist in the preparation of rolling forecasts and long-range plans aligned to business strategy.
- Evaluate business cases, capital projects, and strategic investments for financial viability.
- Produce financial dashboards and reports tailored to senior leadership and department heads.
- Provide commentary and insights on business unit performance, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Work closely with department heads to understand performance drivers and ensure accurate reporting.
- Deliver ad-hoc financial analysis and scenario modeling as requested by senior management.
- Monitor revenue performance across client segments and service lines.
- Analyse cost structures and variances to identify areas for efficiency improvement.
- Support pricing, profitability, and margin analysis initiatives.
- Collaborate with billing, accounting, and operations teams to ensure revenue accuracy and timely recognition.
- Support continuous improvement in FP&A processes, reporting tools, and data quality.
- Assist in the implementation of financial systems enhancements and automation.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
- Participate in audits and regulatory reporting processes as needed.
- Act as a finance business partner to assigned business units, providing insight and recommendations.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear, concise manner.
- Build strong relationships across Finance, Operations, and departmental teams to drive collaboration.
- Proven experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or management accounting.
- Strong Excel skills; experience with financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, Adaptive Insights, or similar.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of professional services or the legal sector is advantageous but not essential.
