Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a growing organisation based in Central London, who are seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their expanding finance team.
 
This is a great opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for finance to play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the accounts payable function within a dynamic and supportive business.
 
Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Assistant include:
  • Processing supplier invoices, credit notes, and payment runs.
  • Managing staff expenses and ensuring timely reimbursement.
  • Producing the monthly cash report and maintaining cashbooks.
  • Managing banking signatories and ensuring records remain up to date.
  • Running quarterly fraud checks and maintaining internal controls.
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assisting with month-end processes and accruals.
  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks as required.
 
The ideal Accounts Payable Assistant will have:
  • Previous experience of working in an accounts payable position.
  • Strong experience in managing and monitoring cash flow.
  • Ability to follow processes and use judgement within defined procedures.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills.
  • Good working knowledge of accounting systems and Excel.
