Sheridan Maine is partnering with an established organisation in South East London to recruit a Payroll Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented payroll professional to join a supportive finance team and take ownership of the payroll function.
The Role:
As Payroll Specialist, you will manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies. You will also work closely with HR and Finance to support payroll reporting and process improvements.

The Role:

Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with legislation
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Support month-end reporting and payroll audits
- Liaise with HR and Finance teams on employee data, benefits, and deductions
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiency
- Proven experience in payroll, preferably in a multi-employee organisation
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and processes
- Experience with payroll software (e.g., Sage, IRIS, Xero)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
