Sheridan Maine is looking for an ambitious and motivated Qualified or Part-Qualified Audit Executive to join our accountancy firm in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to broaden your experience across a wide variety of clients, including large corporates, fast-growing owner-managed businesses, charities, and educational institutions.
 
You will be supported by an approachable senior team, with the chance to contribute to client service delivery, business development, and internal training programmes — helping you take the next step toward Manager level and beyond.
 
Key Responsibilities as an Audit Executive:
  • Leading or assisting in the delivery of audit and/or accounts assignments from planning through to completion.
  • Preparing financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and relevant reporting standards.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through excellent communication and service.
  • Supporting the training and development of junior team members.
  • Working collaboratively as part of a dynamic team across a broad and varied client base.
  • Ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
 
The successful Audit Executive must possess the following:
  • Are ACA / ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or studying towards their qualification.
  • Have experience working within an accountancy practice on audit, accounts, or general compliance work.
  • Are organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing competing deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively and enjoy building client relationships.
  • Are strong team players who are enthusiastic about contributing to team success.
  • Have access to transport and a full UK driving licence (essential for client travel).
  • 2+ years of experience in a UK practice.
