Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a prestigious accountancy firm based in Central London to recruit an experienced Senior Audit Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected practice, leading complex audits and shaping the success of a talented team.
 
The Role
As Senior Audit Manager, you will take full ownership of a portfolio of audit clients, managing assignments from planning through to completion. You will ensure the highest standards of audit quality, deliver exceptional client service, and play a key role in developing junior team members.
 
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Audit Manager:
  • Lead and manage multiple audit engagements, ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm standards.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of audits for a diverse client base.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser.
  • Review audit files and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Manage budgets and timelines for all audit assignments.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Keep up to date with technical developments in audit and accounting standards.
 
Skills & Experience required of the Senior Audit Manager:
  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with significant post-qualified experience.
  • Proven track record in managing audits within a UK accountancy practice.
  • Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and UK GAAP.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional communication and client relationship skills.
