Sheridan Maine is advertising on behalf of a well-regarded accountancy practice based in Bristol to recruit an Audit Associate Manager / Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced auditor to take a lead role in delivering high-quality audit services to a varied and impactful client portfolio.

Based in Bristol with hybrid working, the role will see you leading audit engagements from planning through to completion, working closely with senior stakeholders while supporting and developing junior members of the audit team.

Key responsibilities of the Audit Associate Manager / Manager include:

• Leading audit engagements from initial planning through to completion, ensuring technical excellence and regulatory compliance.
• Managing client relationships, developing a strong understanding of client operations and delivering proactive, value-added insights.
• Working closely with Managers, Partners, and colleagues across the firm to provide a joined-up and consistent client service.
• Reviewing the work of junior team members and providing constructive feedback and on-the-job coaching.
• Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge of auditing standards, regulations, and sector developments, including the charity and not-for-profit sector.

The successful Audit Associate Manager / Manager will have:

• ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent).
• A strong audit background gained within a UK accountancy practice, whether Top 10, mid-tier, or independent.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical matters clearly and professionally.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A detail-focused approach with a commitment to delivering consistently high-quality work.
