Sheridan Maine is delighted to be recruiting an Accounts & Tax Senior Manager on behalf of an established and growing accountancy practice based in West London.

This is a senior role offering the opportunity to take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients, with an even 50/50 split between accounts and tax. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with a client-focused approach, providing high-quality advice and developing long-term relationships.

The Role
As Accounts & Tax Senior Manager, you will have responsibility for managing a diverse portfolio of clients and overseeing the delivery of both accounts and tax services.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors and business sizes.
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and management accounts.
• Managing the preparation and review of corporation tax returns and computations.
• Providing personal tax advice and overseeing relevant tax compliance work.
• Advising clients on accounting and tax matters and identifying opportunities to add value.
• Acting as a trusted point of contact for clients and developing strong, long-term relationships.
• Reviewing work completed by junior members of the team and providing guidance and support.
• Managing deadlines and ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently.
• Supporting the development of the practice and contributing to process improvements.
• Working closely with colleagues across the practice to deliver a joined-up service to clients.
  
  

About You
We are looking for an experienced Accounts & Tax professional with a strong background in UK accountancy practice.

You will ideally have:

• Significant experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
• Strong experience across both accounts and taxation, with the ability to operate comfortably across both areas.
• Experience managing a varied portfolio of clients.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting and tax legislation.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Experience reviewing work and supporting the development of more junior team members.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A commercially aware and proactive approach.
• ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent experience).
