  • Review and develop processes and systems
  • Provide financial support with ongoing projects

Financial Planning Analyst

Remote | Qualified/Part Qualified

Sheridan Maine is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional to join an international organisation as a Financial Planning Analyst. This role will play a key part in supporting financial planning, analysis, and business decision-making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities of the position will include:

  • Maintain and update rolling forecasts to support business planning
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Conduct monthly reviews of financial performance with budget holders
  • Provide business partnering support to stakeholders
  • Manage and oversee intercompany cost allocations
  • Respond to ad-hoc financial data requests and analysis needs

ACCOUNTANT

ANDOVER | £50,000-£60,000

Sheridan Maine are recruiting for an experienced and motivated Accountant to join an established business in Andover on a long term contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accountant who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting business performance, and driving continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to build effective relationships across the business.

Key duties of the Accountant include:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with relevant accounting standards
  • Manage month end and year end close processes, including journals, reconciliations and reporting
  • Produce timely and accurate management information and financial statements
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Monitor cash flow and provide financial insight to support business decisions
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain the integrity of the general ledger
  • Assist with statutory reporting, tax compliance, and external audits
  • Maintain and improve financial controls, processes, and systems
  • Work closely with operational teams to analyse costs and improve financial performance
  • Support finance projects and process improvement initiatives as required


The successful Accountant will have the following skills and experience:

  • Part qualified or fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) 
  • Qualified by experience candidates will be considered
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles
  • Experience of ERP systems and strong Excel skills

This role provides hands-on experience across multiple areas of finance, along with full study support towards a professional accounting qualification (such as ACCA or CIMA).
 
As a Graduate Trainee Accountant, you will gain exposure to core accounting functions while developing your technical and commercial skills. Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with month-end and year-end financial processes

Interim Finance Manager – Process Improvement

Are you an analytically minded finance professional with a passion for process improvement, reporting enhancement, and driving efficiencies?
 
Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with an established organisation based in Poole to recruit an Interim Finance Manager – Process Improvement for an initial six-month assignment. This is a hands-on transformation role focused on streamlining processes, reducing manual work, and enhancing the quality of financial reporting and insight across the business.
 
Working closely with senior finance stakeholders and operational teams, you will review existing ways of working, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the implementation of solutions that increase efficiency and strengthen the quality of financial and performance information across the organisation.
 
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and improving finance processes to increase efficiency, consistency, and control
  • Enhancing management information and reporting to provide clearer, more actionable insights
  • Developing dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting tools
  • Identifying opportunities to improve finance systems, data structures, and reporting outputs

  • Experience of reporting and visualisation tools such as Power BI would be advantageous
