Sheridan Maine is partnering with a dynamic and growing Retail and Ecommerce Business based in vibrant London. Our client is committed to providing exceptional products and services to their customers, and they are seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to support their finance team in maintaining financial records and ensuring financial stability.
Key responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant include:
Maintain accurate financial records by posting transactions, reconciling accounts, and managing financial data
Process invoices, prepare payment runs, and reconcile supplier accounts
Assist in credit control activities, monitor customer accounts, and manage collections
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
Help prepare financial reports, assist in budgeting, and support the month-end closing process
Assist in providing documentation and information to auditors during financial audits
Undertake various finance-related tasks and provide support to the finance team as needed
The successful Accounts Assistant will require the following skills and qualifications:
Previous experience in an accounting or finance role
Strong numerical and analytical skills with great attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software is a plus
