Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey with a growing Portsmouth-based business that has recently merged with a major organisation? Our client is seeking an immediately available,  motivated and ambitious individual to join its team as a Finance Assistant.
 
Your Role:
As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Purchase Ledger function whilst acting as cover for the sales ledger duties and credit control activities. 
 
Your responsibilities as the Finance Assistant will include: 

• Processing a high volume of supplier invoices
• Coding and matching of invoices to purchase orders
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• Processing office and staff expenses
• Compilation of weekly payment runs
• Monitor and report on all credit control activity and status for weekly presentation at the weekly cash flow and payments approval review/meeting
• Compile all outputs so that aged debtors’ reports are timely, accurate and fit for purpose
• Weekly and monthly debt collection plan
• Credit control, chasing and collection
• Daily banking recording receipts
• Account reconciliation to customer records
• Preparation of invoices and statements

• A motivated individual with a strong ambition to learn and grow within the finance domain
• Experience with Sage Line 200 would be ideal
• Preferably having at least 12 months experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Excel (Vlook ups/Pivot tables)
