Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a prestigious FTSE 250 services business, operating with offices across the UK. Our client is currently seeking an experienced Interim Senior Finance Manager to join their team for a period of 6-7 months. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a crucial role in maximising financial performance, enhancing corporate governance, and driving continuous improvement within a dynamic organisation.
 
Key responsibilities of the Senior Finance Manager include:

  • Collaborate with the senior management team to continuously challenge and enhance financial processes, identifying areas for optimisation and efficiency gains
  • Explore and assess the existing operational business structures with the aim of enhancing financial performance to its fullest potential
  • Foster a deeper understanding of the factors driving profitability and actively promote the application of this knowledge throughout the team
  • Establish the annual budget and supervise rigorous re-forecasting and variance analysis
  • Ensure compliance, upholding strong corporate governance standards
  • Provide ongoing financial advice, meaningful analysis and support
  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls and reconciliation processes to mitigate financial risks effectively
  • Oversee financial planning activities, including budgeting, reforecasting, and variance analysis, ensuring their effectiveness and accuracy
  • Management accounts preparation, variance analysis and monthly reporting
What the successful Senior Finance Manager will require:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with substantial experience in senior finance management roles
  • Strong financial control and reconciliation expertise
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Project accounting experience
  • Experience of dealing with Commercial and Project Operational teams
 
This role offers a hybrid working pattern, with three days per week based on-site in Glasgow. This flexibility allows for a balance between office and remote work, enabling you to manage your responsibilities effectively.
 
This position falls within IR35 and offers an attractive daily rate of up to £600 per day (umbrella rate).
