Sheridan Maine are currently working with a large UK employer based in Reading who are seeking a Senior Payroll Advisor to join their busy payroll department. This rare opportunity will be joining a dynamic business and requires an individual with extensive knowledge of end to end payroll procedures and payroll legislation.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, key duties of the role will include:
Hands on processing of staff payroll
Liaising with employees in relation to payroll queries
Submitting HMRC payments
Liaising with pension providers
Supporting the business with complex payroll queries
Identifying and recommending system and process improvements
Knowledge and skills required for the position include:
Prior experience of end to end payroll processing
Experience working in a high volume payroll environment
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to work to deadlines
Good interpersonal and customer service skills
Strong IT skills including Excel
