Sheridan Maine is proud to partner with a well-established client based in the Bristol area in their search for an Accounting Lead. This is an exceptional opportunity to join in a role that will manage a team and provide finance partnering to the business.
 
Responsibilities of the Accounting Lead include:

  • Oversee the finance team and serve as a finance partner to dedicated areas of the business.
  • Provide technical accounting expertise to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all financial reporting requirements.
  • Provide input for continuous process improvement.
  • Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals.
 
The successful Accounting Lead will:
  • Be either qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), part qualified or Qualified by Experience.
  • Possess strong technical accounting knowledge, with a thorough understanding of IFRS etc.
  • Have excellent systems skills such as SAP
  • Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Own exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ideally have manufacturing or similar sector experience.
