We're thrilled to announce that Sheridan Maine is partnering with a UK property company to recruit a Financial and Management Accountant for their London-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to join an expanding business with numerous benefits, including a bonus scheme.
 
In this role, you will be integral to the company's financial planning, as well as financial and management reporting.
 
Responsibilities of the Financial and Management Accountant include:

  • Prepare year-end management accounts and statutory financial statements
  • Draft accounting memos for key judgments
  • Prepare quarterly management accounts
  • Lead audit processes and act as main contact for auditors
  • Oversee financial ledgers
  • Assist with budget processes
  • Post budget journals and track approved movements
  • Create budget reports and assist budget holders
  • Support quarterly resource vs. fees analysis and manage corporate resourcing model
  • Prepare monthly operations cash flow budget
  • Manage monthly operations capital call process
  • Assist with cash flow management
  • Prepare and reconcile daily rates
  • Support payroll processes and reconciliations
  • Improve finance-related processes with the People team
  • Review and enhance corporate and project team processes

The successful Financial and Management Accountant will require the following knowledge and experience:
  • Must hold an accountancy qualification with 2-3 years PQE in a management/financial accounting related role
  • Proficient in preparing management accounts and financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
  • Experience in statutory accounts preparation
  • Highly numerate with advanced Excel skills
  • Proactive self-starter with strong project and process management abilities
  • Confident in implementing and improving financial controls and processes
  • Eager to learn and challenge the status quo
