Sheridan Maine are working with a global business based in Newbury who are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their small and friendly finance team.
Reporting to the Finance Controller, primary duties of the role include:
Raising and processing invoices
Checking payments and allocating to accounts
Dealing with invoice and payment queries
Monitoring aged debt and undertaking credit control duties
Performing account reconciliations
Producing management reports
Setting up new customers on to the accounting system
Assessing customer account limits and performing credit checks
Assisting with month end duties such as accruals and prepayments
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with knowledge of accounts receivable/ credit control procedures. The company would also consider someone who may require training and study support for AAT. The successful candidate will be hard working and reliable, a good team player and enthusiastic. It is essential to work well within a team and have competent IT skills.
