Our client, located in London, is actively seeking a Financial Controller to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with international accounting experience who are looking to take the next step in their career.
The role is hybrid, requiring 3 days per week in their South-West London office. Responsibilities of the Financial Controller include:
Collaborate with the Director to manage the ERP system for month-end closing and reporting
Help streamline processes to reduce close time from 5 days to 3
Review and analyse month-end figures, resolving issues with stakeholders
Assist the Finance Director in developing a consolidated accounting platform in TM1/Cognos
Apply critical thinking to improve global accounting policies, ensuring compliance with FRS and GAAP
Support the development of an internal audit mechanism
Manage relationships with external auditors
Use data modelling to identify missed revenue
Identify financial risks and opportunities, while optimising cashflow and supporting growth
Develop a global cashflow management process with the group treasurer
Create cashflow reporting solutions for the executive team
Provide project support for modernising financial processes
Assist with key finance projects related to department updates and restructuring.
The successful Financial Controller will require the following knowledge and experience:
Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent
International accounting experience is preferred
1-2 years of experience in a similar role or fast-paced, high-volume environment
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is preferred
Experience with TM1/Cognos is desirable
Advanced Excel modelling skills
