We are pleased to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Management Accountant to join our client’s team in London on a permanent basis, starting as soon as possible. The successful candidate will take charge of preparing management accounts, generating key reports, and overseeing general accounting operations. The successful candidate must have international/European accounting experience.

Responsibilities of the Senior Management Accountant will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Prepare and file accurate monthly VAT returns
  • Develop automated reporting tools to improve processes
  • Address mis-posting issues and ensure compliance
  • Prepare tax reconciliations with local accountants
  • Create SOPs for documenting processes
  • Manage weekly bank reconciliations and resolve queries
  • Approve bank payments and verify new payees
  • Understand European tax laws and reporting tools
  • Prepare journals and reconcile balance sheets monthly
  • Generate P&L reports and conduct variance analysis
  • Perform month-end tax calculations and manage fixed assets
  • Assist with month-end Group financial presentations
  • Prepare annual AOP, year-end schedules, and audit reports
  • Support year-end close and reconciliation
  • Create Power BI reports for finance (cash flow, customer tracking, dashboards)
  • Oversee the transition from Expensify to SAP Concur
 
The successful Senior Management Accountant will require the following skills and experience:
  • Must have international/European accounting experience
  • Workday experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of European tax laws and relevant reporting tools is essential
  • Strong technical expertise in IFRS, UK GAAP, and the Companies Act
  • Proactive, organised, and detail-focused with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines
