Sheridan Maine is collaborating with our client to recruit a remote Management Accountant. This position involves preparing monthly financial statements, contributing to the reporting process, and presenting results to key business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and growth-focused environment.
Your responsibilities as the Management Accountant will include:
Prepare and report monthly management accounts and key KPIs
Oversee general ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliations
Conduct financial analysis and provide insights for month-end reporting
Ensure compliance with regulatory filing requirements
Assist the Finance Director with all aspects of financial reporting
Manage the facilitation of the annual external audit
Coordinate and compile information to support tax filings and annual R&D claims
Play a key role in driving process and system enhancements
Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepayments, and adjustments
Track budget performance against actuals and deliver variance analysis
The successful Management Accountant will require the following skills and experience:
Open to qualified, part-qualified accountants, and individuals qualified by experience
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a strategic perspective
Proactive self-starter with a curious and analytical mindset
Effective collaborator, capable of working across diverse teams within the business
Solid understanding of financial reporting requirements
Proficient in IT, with the ability to streamline routine tasks through automation to focus on higher-value activities
